Go West ! I Go Anywhere Else

This once run down building now has many of the cosmetic changes we long term renters have suffered through for three years. But don't be fooled. The continued construction at Highland House and the surrounding areas make this place a noisy dust bowl that reminds one of a middle east sandstorm. Constant "improvements" are made to the building which is always done without any discussion with tenants and which forced tenants to move their cars three times a day or risk being towed. This wonderful improvement took six months and now means we have paint in the basement! The lack of elevators (3 for entire building) mean you often wait 20 minutes at peak hours if someone is moving in with elevator number 3 (ie: going to work). Try finding space in one of the two washers and dryers per floor down the hall!Best of all, try asking anyone other than the custodians for any assistance or clarification of upcoming improvements and you will get a cold shoulder or worse. The gym is the old party room in the basement and pool area is great all three months it is open if you don't mind rude and noisy high school life guards with a love of Rap music. If you are in a bind for a place to put your stuff, this is a good place. If you want a home, Go West.
