May 1st and still no air conditioning...

Whereas this building does have some positives, they are becoming increasingly outweighed by the negatives. We are at Polinger's mercy as to when they will turn our air conditioning on. First, the front office said "last week of April, definitely." Then they say "May 1st, definitely." Now they are saying "Mid-May"...enough. It gets HOT during the day, and then the bricks retain the heat for the night. DO NOT move in here if you want to be able to control your air conditioning...they are not reasonable. Also, if you are on the South or West side of the building, and you open your windows, you will smell the really gross cooking downdrafts from the two restaurants next door -- Mei Wah (chinese) and Chipotle (Mexican). YUK. They odors come right into your apartment! And the indoor ventilation SUCKS. We'll be moving when our lease is due to expire.
