My husband and I recently moved out of HHW (job relocation). We loved our apartment (newly renovated with real oak kitchen cabinets, granite countertops, and very nice bathrooms). The office staff (for the most part) is phenomenal. In particular, Jesse is THE BEST apartment manager with which I've ever dealt. All the front desk people are great and truly wonderful. The unit itself was a bright and airy huge one bedroom for an amazing price, all utilities were included, and the building has an enormous rooftop deck and great pool. Parking was a dream and SO cheap for the area. And I would give two hearty thumbs up for this building if it weren't for the hideous ventilation. Ventilation is almost nonexistent in the individual units and the common hallways. We lived next door to some Indian people, and whereas Indian cooking is usually quite aromatic, these people must be lower caste, because they use the WORST SMELLING spices and GREASE in the world. They cook day and night, too, and because their kitchen abutted ours, evey stinking bit of their horrible cooking odors came into our apartment. In fact, their horrible cooking odors wafted directly into my closet -- so now many of my clothes have a permanent smell of really nasty spices and grease. Can't even wash the smell out. Unfortunately, the offenders are real --------, so they wouldn't do something simple such as cracking open a window or turning on their stove fan when they cook (even though they were warned by Jesse time and time again to do so). I can't understand how people can be so obnoxious. Anywho -- I have two friends who still live on different floors of the building, and one has similar problems. If smelling someone else's cow dung and lard doesn't bother you, than by all means, move in. It really is a fantastic building other than the ventilation and nasty, rude Indian tenant issues.

OMG I totally know who you're talking about!!! Did you live on the 14th floor on the west side of the building. Because that's where I live and the Indian couple who lives down that way are really bad!!!! OMG it smells like they're killing a cat in there!!! I live at the end of the hall so there is no way that smell escapes. It comes right into my apartment. I've complained and complained and nothing is ever done. They are gross people.

I know exactly who your talking about. I live directly beneath that couple with the infant and the odor is horrible. . I have complained many times to the front office but nothing is ever done. I have requested to move to another apartment and if this is not granted I will be moving out.
