I'm surprised by the very negative comments. We've been very happy. We're a young professional couple, no kids, and we've enjoyed living there. Great location, amazing size apartments, and pretty good service. Sometimes the doormen are not as attentive as they could be to people our age, but with all the elderly and homebound residents, I don't mind if they cater more to them. We've always had repairs made on time. It's been a rough year with all the renovations, but they really haven't affected us much. The van service to the metro is great, especially now that they drop you off right at the metro instead of the shopping center. The switch to the new management company seems to have been a good move - all the new programs like the apartment you can rent as a hospitality suite for guests are a great idea. The few false and real fire alarms were a nuisance but pretty par for the course in a building that size. If you want to rent in friendship heights and can afford somewhat steep rents, I would recommend the building. The apartments are an incredible size and get great natural light - they are really in good shape, too, compared to other older buildings we had looked at.
