The Irene is its own warped universe where the management is condescending, the toilets are always broken, and the residents seem to be perpetually frustrated. I have lived at the Irene for several years now, unfortunately, and I would not recommend this building to anyone. I'm not even sure where to start...on a typical day you have to leave your apartment about 10 minutes early so you can catch an elevator without being late to work, the new manager is rude and sarcastic with just about everyone, there is no ventilation in the kitchen so whatever you cook will linger in the house for the next 3 days, all the pool furniture is ripped, broken, and piled up next to the pool area (its really a huge pile), on just about every night of the week there are drunk people yelling outside your window at 4 am, and if your toilet or shower is not working...you might as well go stay with a friend for the next few days, because nothing will be done about it until then. I could go on and on. Save yourself the trouble.
