If you do not mind patched tile, stained floors, generally dirty windows, and overall shabbiness, then apartments in this building provide excellent value for their size. I do not recommend renting any apartment sight unseen. Maintenance service is reasonable and the personnel are competent, although often over-burdened, so maintenance can be delayed. It often took several calls, however, to get action on non-emergency repairs. The building was very accommodating in replacing appliances that were truly problematic without much complaint.

This review is misleading, and seems to be deliberately looking for reasons to bad-mouth the Irene. As a 22 year resident of this building, I am in total agreement with the statements that" the apartments in this building provide excellent value for their size"; "the maintenance personnel are competent";and the building was very accommodating in replacing appliances that were truly problematic without..complaint". And the windows have been recently washed!
