At $860-$875/mo for a 2 br, these are the most expensive apartments in Cockeysville. The lease is a pain, 1 year only, no monthly renewals. To get out, you must pay $150 and hope that thy find someone to rent it, or buy a 6 month block out. Pool passes are restrictive. The gym is restrictive too. There is no security (but then none is needed, unless you bring those types of people in) There is a bug problem with these damn centipedes. They are flat and vary from .25 to 3" inches. Very scary and quick. I don't know how they get in. I see about 8 a month.
Now for the good things. Noise is non-existant. Your doors and windows let the most sound through. Once in a while I'll hear a vacume above me, and I'll only hear a thump when something large hits the floor. Blaring your stereo is not a problem for your neighboors, as these apartments have a special sound-deadening insulation. The maintance staff is fast. The chicks at the pool are hot. The community is safe enough to leave your car or apartment unlocked, although it's still a stupid thing to do. I've never seen a cop in the comminuty on business.
If you have the money, and aren't looking to move for a while, this is the place for you. If you hope to buy a house in the near future (1-5 years) go somewhere else. Getting out of the lease will cost you, and as a result, stiffle your home purchase. Not to mention other places (across the street) are almost $200 cheaper a month (but then most of the good stuff doesn't apply)(but then you'd have a nice bit of a down payment) So plan to live somewhere else for at least a year before you buy a house.
