So quiet, you could hear a pin drop

Years at this apartment: 2007 - 2007
I have lived at Briarcliff North for 7 months. This apartment is perfect for my boyfriend and I. The best thing about the apartment is the sound-proof construction. I can't hear any outside noise when in my apartment. It is extremely quiet! Nor have my neighbors complained about noise from me. This apartment is quieter than any apartment that I have ever been in. Also, it is very convenient having a washer/dryer in the apartment. When we first came to Briarcliff, the washer/dryer looked older than me! (I was born in the eighties) We had a few problems with the washer/dryer at first, but after a few attempts by maintenance to repair them, they were replaced with brand new machines. Maintenance is always highly responsive, even on Saturday and Sunday evenings. When the ice storm came, the parking lot was cleared quickly, days before my friends complexes.
Price: My boyfriend and I were about to rent an apartment that included rent in the price. However, before we signed the lease, this policy changed. Apartments in the area are no longer including utilities. Therefore, Briarcliff is now close to the same price as other communities.
Storage space: My boyfriend and I both have a lot of clothes and things. We have more than enough space for everything! The walk-in closet is very large, and there is an additional large closet in the bedroom. There is additional storage space for each apartment, and it is located less than one foot from our door.
Kitchen: I like to cook, and have found the kitchen to be adequate. My only complaints is that I would like more counter space, but I have made do. Also, the oven cooks hotter than most, so you will soon learn to set the temperature lower than what your recipe calls for.
The light rail is 5 minutes away. I can get to work downtown in 25 mintues, less than the time it takes to drive during rush hour.
The gym is old, but the equipment is quality and it gets the job done. My boyfriend has really beefed up since we have lived her, and I can't complain about that!
The windows are a little drafty in the winter, but not too bad. The utility bills range between 90-150 dollars, which is what I estimated them to be.
We will be leaving Briarcliff at the end of our lease, but only because we are moving to dc. This is a great value for your money. I feel safe in this area at night. The building is fairly old, but has been adequately maintained and is very clean. I would recommend this apartment for young professionals, young couples, or senior citizens who wouldl like a quiet safe neighborhood.
