This community previously known as Century II was sold and is currently under management of Home Properties since October 2008. I've been a resident over a year and have witnessed the transition this community has suffered since the new management group acquired the property. There are many inticing offers to get you into a lease- I've heard they are offering two months free rent for signing a year lease. They have signs everywhere stating they are under new management, like its a good thing. The new management is deplorable. These two months free rent will never make up for the living conditions you will be exposed to. The entire staff points fingers at each when requested maintenance jobs don't get done. There is no accountability for their neglect to properly manage this community. If you want to take your chances on a move here I urge you to familiarize yourself with the County Code for Baltimore County. They have a Rat Control division I am sure you will be seeking after you move in. Here is the link to save you time:

Oh my goodness. I lived there for 6 months in 2007/2008. I liked the layout of the apartment but the walls are entirley too thin. I was on the middle floor and my next door neighbor was a drunk who had roaches. My neighbors downstairs were just loud all of the time and I could even here my upstairs neighbor pee when he was in the bathroom. I never saw any rats or mice (thank goodness) but I hated coming home and hearing what everyone in the building was doing. The management was rude and didn't care about anyone's complaints so I just left. I didn't care about getting my security deposit or anything. I gave them my 30 day notice and was gone in 20. They charge too much rent to have walls so thin.

The mice problem here at Saddlebrook apartments in Cockeysville, Maryland is out of control. Before you sign your name to a lease here get the exact unit they are offering you and go talk to the residents who live around that unit. Ask them about their experience with the mice. Management will tell you it is an isolated problem. Ask them for the other available units and go see those surrounding residents. I guarantee you will hear the same story in every single building you visit. You've got to do some serious homework before you move in here, there is a whole lot of shady going on here. I've read about ghettos and never in a million years though I'd be living in one. ~On my way out

Home Properties took over/trashed Topfield Apartments as well, and that was a NICE place 5 years ago. Now not so much and I suspect Section 8 is rampant there now.

The management of Saddle Brooke Apartment, Cockeysville MD is the worst. The front office staffs are stupid and useless, not to mention very rude too (of course not before signing a lease). Believe me!! stay away from it.
