I have read the other reviews for this apartment complex, and there is a common thread among the majority of them that couldn't be more true: noise. At any time of day (or even in the wee hours of the morning), one has to wonder if one's neighbors have elephants as pets. While no one here really does have an elephant, they might as well since if, for example, an upstairs neighbor so much as tiptoes a few inches, you *will* notice it. The same is true of conversations: I can hear my neighbors' conversations, sometimes word-for-word, and whenever they decide to get intimate, I'm pretty much assured of a night without sleep. If you're someone who sleeps light and has obligations in the morning, DO NOT LIVE HERE -- you will use up your vacation days unnecessarily due to not getting any sleep. And, if you live facing one of the parking lots, it only adds to the noise -- cars come and go at all hours, and their headlights shine into the bedroom windows mercilessly, regardless of which floor you're on. Other things to watch out here: (1.) The insulation is terrible. Every window in my apartment has a draft. Upon inspection, it's obvious that the windows were chosen with price, not efficiency, in mind. The gaps between the sliding windows are so large that, during heavy showers, rain comes in and wets the entire base, often flowing onto the floor. It's not as though the windows are broken but rather that they were never designed to function well in the first place. So it's no wonder that winter heating bills average around $200.00, so make sure you add that to the base rental if you're considering moving here.
For primarily the above reasons (but also for others, as well), I really regret moving here. In 6 months, I'll be gone, thank god.
