I moved out

I spent 5 years at Cinnamon Ridge.

When I moved in back in 2001 it was a nice place for me right out of college. It was spacious, affordable, and felt very safe.

In the 5 years I was there though things went downhill fast. The rent went up dramatically every year. Maintenance was a joke, it was nearly impossible to get them to do anything. Safety went downhill as the section 8 crowd starting taking over the complex. The last straw was when my car was broken into in the parking lot.

The noise is pretty unbearable. If you're a light sleeper STAY AWAY. You will hear EVERYTHING your neighbors do. And if your neighbors smoke inside, be prepared to have everything you own smell like tobacco, because the scent easily penetrates the walls and floors.

Then there's the ant problem. I saw more ants in my apartment than on the Discovery Channel. For 5 years I had a serious ant problem and management denied it. Flat out denied it. Said there were no ants, period. Yet food would constantly be taken out of the pantry only to find that it was COVERED in ants. Disgusting. Unsanitary.

If you could move in back in 2001, it was an okay place. Now, avoid it like the plague. It's far too expensive for what it's offering. And it's not a safe place anymore.

I had a huge ant problem as well, but in my bathroom. Every spring HUNDREDS of huge carpenter ants.. on the walls, ceiling... would make their way out into the bedroom and I'd find them in my bed. DISGUSTING! you're right, it did remind me of Discovery Channel! I can't wait to move out!
