Ok, I moved in early of 2007. The leasing office was of course very nice, since they were trying to rent one of their apartments to me. Since then, I made the mistake once of asking one of the leasing agents a question and telling them that I need maintenance work on my apartment. She in turn abruptly redirected me to the business office which is about 3ft away (within the same building, adjoining rooms). The fitness center does not have enough equipment to accomadate its tenants. There is one machine for weight lifting, and its an all in one, so only one person at a time. You have to pay $25 for a key to fitness center, which they tell you upfront. But, after purchasing a key I received a written notification from the business office that the key is to be returned when I move out or else I would have to pay another $25 to replace. The kicker is that when you return the fitness key, they do not reimburse you, they just sell it to the next tenant for $25. The pool is there for show and is not available to you unless you pay a "seasons pass" of $40, and even then, the hours are very restricted and only for a few weeks. You have to place any repair orders in writing to the business office. Calling is NOT acceptable to them, so unless you live right next to the leasing office, prepare to go out of your way, just to put in the order. Personally, I believe this is done to discourage people from placing orders in the first place. The maintenance men are all very nice, except for one. Bonnie in the business office has been very courteous to me as well. They keep the grounds nice and tidy, but do not have sidewalks, so be careful if you choose to walk to the business office to place your repair order in person and in writing. Remember, face the traffic. Oh, for those of you that have pets- Be prepared to place a $300 non-refundable pet deposit (I don't know why they call it a deposit if you will never see it again), and $25 a month for pet rent. Quite frankly, I feel as though, if you have paid a security deposit, the non-refundable pet "deposit" is their way of exploiting you. The dumpster are emptied out on a regular basis. There are no locks on the buildings into the entrance ways, so every so often you get solicitors knocking at your door, and you get tons of menus jammed into your doorway (same menus, over and over). Overall, the place is ok, they just try to squeeze you for every last penny eventhough your rent should be more than enough to cover everything. The area is nice, the apartments are ok. But then again, if I didn't have a dog, or I had more time, I would have moved into a comparable apartment and saved myself a lot of money. I pay $900 for a one bedroom apt in the basement.

That is not true about the pool. The pool is free to all residents. The $40.00 is for a guest pass which allows you to bring up to 5 guests at a time, any time all summer. I guess you are lying about the key to the fitness center too because I was never told that I had to pay for one.

not lying about the key...Fitness center is open when the leasing office is open and if you want to use it any other time you pay for the key.
Pool is open when school is out and from 12-8 and closed Mondays. Each time I go we have to get out for the life guard breaks and they do lifeguard training there so beware of that. If there is one drop of rain pool is closed for the day. I was told to pay $40 fro A Guest pass and lifeguard said it was only good for one person. Of course no one in office was available to verify.
