My son and I moved here in July 2007. We both went from a house to an apartment and I knew it would be a big change for both of us all these years. He is 15. But, the apartment is a different layout than the other cookie cutter apartments locally, and there are many of them. My apartment is very close to Cranbrook Road, and I wish I had moved a bit further off the main road, but, even that isn't so bad when it counts. As far as the office is concerned, I have not had one bad or rude comment from either Valerie or her partner, in fact, I have found them both very pleasant and accomodating. I have had to make a few written requests for repairs, which were all taken care of immediately. And the repairs needed, were simply basic maintenance issues as the apartments clearly are not brand new.

I find the monthly water bill a bit high, but really have nothing to compare it too in my past. I average about $23.00/monthly, which is explained as being an average of the building usage divided equally among tenants. I just pay it with my rent each month.

I am a bit surprised to read about having to pay $40.00 to use the pool, as I wasnt told that upon signing the lease. That, I will be checking on upon my next trip to pay rent. That, I would find unreasonable.

I hope I can write just as positive reviews whenever it is I decide it is time to leave here. I will remain positive based on my experiences here thus far.

I hope this review has helped someone out there looking for an apartment. Research well!

You don't pay for pool use. That $40.00 is only if you want a guest pass for the whole season. With that guest pass, you can bring in as many as five guests anytime for the whole season.

You like them and they like you. Ofcourse as long as you stay with them. Tell them you will move out at the end of your lease period and you will see how rude they are. They will write you two pages of warning stating how they will make you responsible for issues that you have never heard of before from any other apartments. I was supperised to hear such comment from such a company. Thay claim that so many people are on waiting list to move in. The fact is, did you notice the baloons on Crankbrook rood right next to the lease office. They have been advertising the whole year around begging for people to move in to their apartment. I do not see people moving in as meny people moving out. What I like about Steeplechase Apt is their Kitchen and the layout. It is over prised. The aircondition on the thid floor does not work properly. In summer, nomatter what you do, is always on the 80's. If you report, the will tell you there is nothing they can do. They said you need to buy blider. They try to blame you for their system failuer. In general, I had a bad experience with steeple chase apartments in cockeysville. I am happy where I am now. Atlease the manager is very nice and respectful.
