I almost didn't move here because of the negative reviews. However, of all the places I looked at (and I have a dog) this was by far the best, so I didn't have much choice. I have only been here 2 months, but I really like it here after all. My 2 bedroom apartment is large (the master bedroom is huge -- something like 11 X 16 feet) and one of the things i love about it is that the dining area has its own window -- every other place I looked at had just one window in the living/dining area, namely the sliding glass door. Since the kitchen is eat-in, I use the dining area as my office and I have the desk in front of the window. Also, it is the only apartment complex I looked at where the apartment stretched front to back of the building; in other words, you have windows on 2 sides of your apartment. You can probably guess that light is very important to me, and this place has great light. The place was in great shape on move-in day (I was worried that it would be crappy compared to the model). The windows are brand new; the kitchen, which has a full size washer and dryer and a microwave, is in excellent condition. There is even a little shelf above the sink, with an under-shelf light. Lots of closets, too. The complex is surrounded by beautiful, mature trees, and there is a stream next to my building. I think a lot of people stay put here, judging by the big, fancy grills that many, if not most, of the patio apartments have. that tells me that people aren't afraid of having their stuff stolen, either. I know I must sound like shill for the leasing office, but I assure you I'm not. This place is MUCH better than the reviews would have you think. I'm guessing that a dissatisfied person is more likely to post a comment so the proportion of not-happy vs. happy is not accurate. I do have one complaint, however. They do not have recycling here. They say they are "working on it." In my opinion that is just laziness/cheapness. Obviously this can be set up if the corporation really wants to. I think it is irresponsible of the management to have a large community like this NOT recycling.
