This place was great. I've lived in several apartments in my life, this one WAS my favorite. When I moved in here, per square footage of all the other nice apts in cockeysville, topfield was the best deal. It is located in a great spot. We're near the loch raven resevoir and tucked away from it all. It is a great find.

I don't find the dog situation to be a problem. Some people are irresponsible, but you'll get that anywhere with anything. My opinion is if you don't like dogs, don't move into a complex that allows them!

However, I'm disappointed with some of the new tenants here. It seems since ------ left, we allow anyone to live here. Usually high enough rent keeps out the scum-of-the-earth, not the case lately. Now we have a few sketch-ball "families". I have an inkling one guy sells drugs. not too sure, but think so. In the past, I was friendly with everyone in the building, not anymore. I hope Topfield can regain some standards. I like feeling safe where I live. THink others would agree.

Funny thing is I'm an HR Recruiter for a large corporation here in hunt valley. I used to recommend this place to new folks moving to the area all the time. I can't say that I've been comfortable doing so in the last year. Bet it sux to hear that, Home Properties. Business will be business, huh'

I was thinking of moving back there, but if you got 20 illegal aliens per apt or drug dealers I will just go to Deer Tree where it is cheaper! That is a shame ------ left. I bet they are taking Section 8 now! There goes the neighborhood - including all those nice single family homes. I bet the number 9 bus swings up there before long.

You are absolutely right that the people have become sketchier, mainly very recently (within the last year, give or take). I posted this in reply to another review and someone accused me of judging based on clothing. That is definitely not what I based it on.
