I am a long time resident of Topfield and I can not believe the latest notice they sent around. If you own a bicycle and they see it on your porch they have told the residents they will seize it without notice and place it in the dumpster! This follows the notice a few weeks ago telling everyone they were going to confiscate their grills, even if they were stored a safe distance from the apartments. I wonder what will be next' Will they start random inspections of the insides of the apartments and confiscate all furniture they think is ugly' Part of the reason we chose this community was the availability of nature trails, trees (many of which they chopped down for no reason last year), and great outdoors. The new management is the worst. They charge 10 times the actual cost for water usage, which used to be free. This amounts to another $100 in monthly expense. At least they did give us new windows. That should cut down on the $400 or more it was costing to heat the place every month in the winter.

Since the place is starting to fill with Section 8, illegals, and others that don't seem to stay for a full year, I am confused why management would send such a letter. The bikes and grills were bound to be stolen shortly anyway.

Home Properties Management issued the same threatening letter to their residents at their Saddlebrook apartment community in Cockeysville. So many of the residents use bikes and are responsible with storing and using them. The same amount of time it took them to draft and publish the letters they could've actually got up out of their chair and step out in their community and see who is abusing the policies. Issue these threatening letters to them, not to the residents who abide by the rules. We don't appreciate coming home to threatening letters. They would be some pissed off people too if the residents wrote staff threatening letters. For example every time they missed a maintenance appointment or how about when the mice run out of control and they don't return phone calls. Its funny, I saw an advertisement for this community on youtube where they took a picture of the complex with a bike parked outside the building. Home Properties advertises these communities as family oriented however this couldn't be further from the truth. If they did care about families and children that live in their communities they would actually MANAGE the properties and not hide behind the endless posting of threatening letters to residents.
