THIS REVIEW IS OF CRANBROOK HILLS APARTMENTS that are next to Wintergreen apartments owned by same management.
I have lived here for 2 years. The reason is financial and not because I liked them. When I could not afford better apartments, I lived here. Now I am trying to move out to find out that they automatically extended my lease even though more than a month is left of the old lease. To move out, they are forcing me to pay an extra 2 months rent in addition to last months rent. But that's not the problem. The problem is that the leasing office person has been extremely rude about it all. Not only that, to give a written notice to the leasing office is no good. You have to send a written notice to the main corporate office which I did properly. Then the new apartments that I am moving to called them to verify that I have given the notice and they said that they haven't. I gave another written notice a week later. I call the customer service and they tell me that it is not in system even though I talked to customer service rep a few days ago and she told me that they had indeed received my first notice. But the verification department which I believe is at the same location says that they have not received anything. The new apartments have been desperately trying to get verification from these people but of no use.
They say on the phone that they will respond but they never do. It has become a pain after days of trying.
The people at the rental office (where you sign the lease for new apartment) say that they can't do anything about it. You have to call customer service and I have done that plenty of times with no real help.

Remember Wintergreen apartments are owned by the same management and you will be calling the same customer service people if you end up in my situation.

I would recommend avoiding these unless your financial constraints force you to live in a cheaper apartment complex.

Other than that, they wood in apartments makes cracking sound when you walk or when people upstairs walk. You can sometimes hear people talking across the wall, let alone the loud music.
There are a lot of people of hispanic background in these apartments and my car was once hit by a mexican fellow who lived downstairs and was driving without a license !!
