...its nice and spacey. You have 726 sq ft for a 1 bedroom, and the bedroom is very nice in size (17 X 11, I believe). You've got 2 bedroom closets--2 connected sliding door closets and one walk-in. The balcony is nice in size. You have a large vanity bathroom sink, nice size living room. The parking lot isn't very well lit, but I'm not one to go out at night by myself anyway very often, but when I do, I'm a little tense just walking to my car. There was an incident where a drunk guy came into the complex (when the controled entry door was broke) and threatened this lady and turned some doorknobs to see if he could get in to different apartments. The police were called and they took him away. They just said he was homeless and drunk and took him back to the woods, so he probably did something like that before. Hopefully that was an isolated incident, in these apartments at least. I did notice that they dropped the price of rent by $10 dollars/mo, from when I first moved in. That can't be good. Other than that, its fairly quiet and everybody minds their own business. For the price (I'm only paying $729/mo because they had a special when I applied, but 1 bedrooms start at $785), I'm happy there, minus the bugs and me having to call maintenance over a dozen times in my first 60 days (little things that should have been taken care of before I moved in). So my only real complaints are (1) the HOUSE CENTIPEDES! These things have venom and they bite ok, and they are huge and fast as lightening! To me, that's cause enough to break the lease. I really love the apartment, so I'm TRYING to get rid of them first before I do that. My other complaint is (2) the thin walls. I was told when I applied that the walls were sound-conditioned. THAT'S A LIE!!!!! I can hear the people upstairs so clearly when they are having sex. They aren't particularly "loud", its just that the walls are thin. Its really annoying when I'm trying to sleep, but its rare that it happens. The centipedes can be controlled, even if that means that I have to call someone out once a month to exterminate, I will. Its not like I'm paying anything additional so I don't care--its included in the rent. I may just wait until my lease is up in March to move, if the bugs continue! Anyway, besides the bugs and thin walls, the apartment itself is really nice. It's well insulated; my budget billing bill (apartments are all electric) is $72 a month, and that's even after the 50% hike--no lie. The parking is OK. If you are coming home early evening on a Friday or Saturday night (when you'd think most people would be out), its likely that you won't be able to park very close to your building. Another thing is, I do not like the way management handles things. They are not very helpful if you are struggling to make rental payments. I think most apartments are. Maintenance doesn't not call first. So if you call maintenance for a non-emergency, they will just tell you, "Someone will be out there between 8-5". Then if you are off of work and home in the shower, they will knock first, but you won't hear them. You'll get out of your shower and see some man in your apartment. Or they may not come that day, it may be the next day when you are having sex on your living room couch. I don't like that. I am a young woman and I live alone. They refuse to call first. I gave them hell about it, but to no avail. So on scale of 1-10, 10 being the highest, I'd give it a 6 1/2.
