Convenient location and cheap price, but...

The apartments come with some *big* problems. Bugs are so common that you get extremely used to them. A friend of mine was once in the bathroom when I heard her scream. Ends up there was a silverfish about 1.5 inches long was coming out of the sink drain. While I had few roaches, I had many of those silverfish and a number of spiders.
I also had difficulty falling asleep many nights due to the sounds coming from a neighboring apartment. It was only a TV, and I don't think the volume was too loud, but the walls or the vents carried the sound right into my bedroom. Another problem is that the kitchen and the bathroom were very cramped. The kitchen did not have a dishwasher, and the bathroom did not have a vent.
Overall, the apartments do have some problems. But to be honest, many apartment complexes in the College Park area have an equal amount of problems. I appreciated the closeness to campus and the fact that my neighbors were all graduate students. (And truthfully, how often are you home when you are working and going to school full-time')
