After seeing the rest of College Park, Parkside seems like heaven. However, come here on the weekends and see for yourself what it's really like. Other students have no respect whatsoever for the property, and leave garbage, beer cans, and cigarette butts everywhere inside and outside the building. The noise is out of control, especially on the weekends. People drive into the parking lot with music blasting so loud that it wakes you up even with your windows shut! There is dried up puke in the hallways, and the garbage rooms are always filled with people's trash that they are too lazy to toss down the chute. These issues are completely the residents fault. I suppose all college apartments are this disgusting. However, the newest problem here is parking. All of the sudden, the management has decided to charge us $25 a month to park here, and each apartment only gets one parking space. Some apartments have 4 tenants, so what are the other three people supposed to do with their cars'! The $25 a month is misleading, because they are requiring us to pay the money for the entire lease upfront. That means about $300 for most college students that will be due Nov. 1st. I have no idea how I'm going to be able to pay that, and i do need a car here because I'm from out of state and also have to drive to work. Parkside is not all it appears to be, and from what I've heard from other people, The View is much better, especially for security. Everyone knows the access code to get into this building now, and doors are frequently propped open allowing anyone (including the welfare housing people next door) to get in.

I dunno what this person is talking about, I have lived in Parkside for many months now, close to a year. However I am not a college student at all, a full time worker. Sometimes there are some loud noise outside, but I sleep through them mostly. The parking rules have changed since this person posted, there is no fee, they are planning to hand out tickets per car (from my understanding, its free). I have not seen puke anywhere in the building, except people's room where they had parties.

The View has more security sure, but if your a college student, and want to party, Parkside is the place! Nice plasma TV in the lobby as well. The rooms look great! I love liveing in the building, tons of things going on.

If the person had such a problem with noise, why not call the police if he/she couldnt sleep?
however. this person is right about the doors being proped open, sometimes the door is broken, but was fixed right away. The Door is required to have a Key FOB to open the door, as well as the gate outside (at least when I see it closed).

I love parkside! however, everyone should listin to the words the previous poster said, im just a guy with diff opinions. Great post btw Anonymous :)
