2 years at SS -- the good vs bad report

Years at this apartment: 2004 - 2006
I have lived in Seven Springs for 2 years after living at Wynfield Park for 1, and I have to say it has been a good experience overall - better than Wynfield. The only thing with SS is that you have to be smart about how you live. Don't go walking around by yourself late at night, don't leave your door unlocked, etc.
The Bad:
- The occasional fire alarms in my highrise
- The occasional breaking down of hot water in winter and air conditioning in summer
- Slow elevators
- In two years, I have been witness to one serious crime dealing with domestic violence, a few scuffles in which the police were called, a few loud college parties, and one incident where a drunk was hanging around outside my building (so they happen, but they're rare)
The Good:
- The eclectic mix of international families, starting families, and college students. Believe it or not, it's fun and I've made a lot of good friends - not like the cold Wynfield where neighbors don't talk to each other or help each other out.
- I have seen maybe 4 bugs in my apartment in 2 years. Never a roach or mouse.
- The price is the best in College Park (annual price hikes are common to EVERY apartment complex)
- Convenient buses to campus and the Metro
Unfortunately, I did not renew my lease fast enough, so I will be moving out soon. I recommend living here - just be smart about your surroundings especially late at night.
