Hopefully I'm not going to jinx myself by writing this review, but I will be as honest as possible....
I moved in May of 2006. So far, I really don't have too many complaints. Maintenance is slow if you do not stay on top of them. I think it is a matter of who you talk to and when you talk to them. I have had a few requests and they were handled within a reasonable amount of time. I read the reviews on here so I knew what to expect when it came to maintenance coming to your apartment. I say my request are normally handled within 1 to 3 days.
Parking: I live all the way in the back in the garden style apartments. We don't have too many problems with parking in the back.
Neighbors: Can't speak for everyone else, but as of right now I have pretty nice neighbors. All of them have families of their own and have been living on the community for some time. I don't have any college kids that reside in my apartment.
Bugs: Now I must be honest, this is the biggest problem that I have had. When ever I move into an apartment, I bomb it before I move anything in. That's exactly what I did here. The only thing that came up dead was a moth and a silver fish. Not 1 roach. I live on the ground floor, so you can imagine that I come in run ins with your normal creepy crawlers like spiders, a fly, a moth, etc. My mother has a brand new house and has come in contact with those types of insects. My problem is when I saw a roach! My neighbor above me recently moved out. Ever since he moved out, me and my neighbors are having this roach problem. I've seen 3 so far. All of which tried to sneek under my front door. (needless to say they didn't make it)
Business Office: No, they are not your everyday ray of sunshine. That's why I try to contact them as least as possible. It all depends on who you talk to too. Not everyone is rude and nasty. My only advise would be to kill them with kindness. What do you expect' Not everyone is nice in the world. You do have to deal with -------s every now and again.
Noise Control: I thought my apartment was pretty quiet until my neighbors moved in. (lol) Not that they are loud, but I could really hear it when they moved in. Once again, I have respectful neighbors who don't have loud parties and keep the noise down. I did notice that if I have my TV on, or any noise going on in my apartment, I can't hear anything at all from the other apartments. The only time I can hear something maybe when I'm sleep in bed and you can hear someone walking above you. Once again, what do you expect' There apartments.
Like I said before, hopefully I didn't jinx myself with this rating. For the most part, so far so good. Really don't have any major complaints. Some of the issues you're going to deal with in living in an apartment complex. I'm in the process of looking for my house so it's a good place to stay for me for 1 to 2 years. It's convenient to everything. Most of all, you half to remember: it's not permanent (only unless you want it to be), it's not yours to worry about (that's what you have maintenance for), and at least all of the utilities are included.
