My boyfriend and I have live in SSV for a year now and are counting down the days until our lease is up! The apartments are very poorly built! Our thermostat does not work correctly, water and foul smells come out of the sink pipes underneath the sink, and we can not get rid of the roaches! We make sure not to keep any food out and keep a clean apartment...we've even used roach traps but they keep coming back! My book shelf was severely leaning so, thinking it was broken, I went out and bought another one...only to discover that the real problem was that the floors sloped!

There is plenty of parking but I certianly do not feel as though it's safe! The leasing office will play up the fact that SSV is a "gated community" yet I've never seen the gate actually closed and the "guard" is usually sleeping or not present at all. Also, they do not offer lock out services. One late Sat night I was locked out of my apartment and walked up to the gate to ask for help only to be told there was nothing they could do. I then called every locksmith I could get a hold of and was told by many that they did not like to take checks from people in college park!!!

You can hear absolutely everything that goes on in the surrounding apartments. We can hear every step the family above us takes, the neighbors TV, etc. We chose to live here because unfortunately it was one of the less expensive places in College Park...if at all possible, shell out the money and live somewhere else!

It's not a nice place. The noise from neighbors is awful. It was very emabrrassing listening to the PG cop next door having sex with his girlfriend at night.
