I currently live in the garden style appts. thank god my lease will be up at the end of april. If i do not receive my deposit after i leave(like others have claim)I will be posting plenty of pictures of the rodent problem all over the internet and in my letter that I wrote(for my 60 day notice,Geesh)I will be in contact with the heath department about this issue....but My experience here has been nothing but disappointing, having to deal with MICE AND ROACHES WAS NOT SOMETHING I EXPECTED.Mind you I am a neat freak so my style of living had nothing to do with the rodents, you can hear the mice in the walls scratching,a couple came thru the drain in our bath tub..some how they climb up on the kitchen counter(it is just horrific).maintenance does a piss poor job in trying to eliminate the problem. The sad thing is the property manager has knowledge of the problem(she even came to my apartment with maintenance twice)but has the nerve to hike my rent $100 because of cost of living...bullsh**.....well at least they have a nice little mini market on the property even to half there snakes are outdated..but the cigarettes where fresh..

I left SSV few months ago and received my deposit in reasonable amount of time (even additional few $$ plus for interest :-) ) I lived in high-rise building and didn't have any of the problems people are complaining who lived in garden-style houses. Fortunately I didn't have to deal with rude managers: just when I signed lease and when I gave 60-day notice - that was enough :)

Believe me, I lived in 9314, that highrise has mice including 9308, one of the midrise. I know about 9308 because one of the maintenance workers told me about a lady who complained about them until he went in and plugged holes. For those of you who is living or have lived in SSV, be thankful that you have not experienced what some of us has while living in that dump.

Yeah, the mice scratching in the walls freaked me out, too. Mice keep popping up randomly in the apartment, although the consistent problem we had around Thanksgiving/Christmas isn't an issue. They didn't really do anything to try to help. Since I moved into the garden style apartment, there has never been a point at which we haven't had a pest problem. I might contact the health department also.

We live in one of the highrise buildings, and there is always trash in the halls and spilling out of the trash room. Tenants don'e even put their trash bags down the chute; they leave it spilling out all into the halls. This happens on a regular basis. I haven't seen any mice here yet, but I'm sure they are attracted to the enormous piles of trash that can be seen regularly inside the apartment buildings.
