Courtyards seems great when you first move in. People working there are polite/friendly and the apartments are pretty large and for the most part clean. However, after living there for 9 months I moved out because of all the problems with the staff.
1. Maintance does come on time most of the time. However, should they not be able to fix something or they break something in your apartment (they broke our sink handle and then just left without telling anyone) you can pretty much forget about getting help.
2. Staff is very rude after you've moved in. And the "there 24 hours" thing is not helpful when people refuse to actually leave their apartments to come break up the constant parties that go on in the parking lot
3. When they come to do the summer repairs/fixing/clean up it is a nightmare to get anyone to do their job. We had to call multiple times to have the carpet cleaned, walls painted completely, and the promised cleaning staff never came. I have another friend who moved in and found a huge orange stain on their carpet (you can guess where that came from) and the place wreaked of smoke - she finally had to have her mother call and pitch a fit to get the place properly cleaned up as promised.
4. Oh and the trash issue - endless. There are raccoons in the trash often and the trash compacter breaks all the time. Causing everyone to just pile their trash on the nearby sidewalk/road.
The place has no bugs, no parking issues for people who get the free tags, and if you're lucky about who lives above/below and next to you it's only loud on the weekends and in the summer/winter. I would stick with living on campus (the food isn't great, but everything else is worth the food) or move to a house with utilities included.
