I'm pretty sure the person who wrote the "Courtyards is Amazing" review is someone who works for courtyards. Although Courtyards has some good points - all students, large apartments, great parking, no bugs, and great maintance staff - there are some major issues that over shadow that.
- Regular parties/loud drunken college students. This is a huge problem if you're apartment is not in front of the bus stop or if it's the apartment directly next to yours because the walls connecting apartments are fairly thin. If you're lucky enough not to have either of these issues then the only problem you'll have is the drinking and fighting that happens in the parking lot after the party ends.
- Mangement is horrific. They seem great/friendly until you sign the contract. The majority the mangement are other college students so they're typically talking on the phone whenever you go in and are rude.
- The "24 Hour Community Assitance" is a joke. I called several times for our neighborhoods who threw partys until 3am and 4am in the middle of the week - they often refused to show up and told me to call the cops because they didn't want to deal with it.
- The trash is a huge problem - breaks all the time, raccoons (which no one will remove, I called both mangement and animal control), and people just leaving trash in the parking lot whenever it won't work.
- Safety is a concern. There were several car robberies and one car jacking while I lived there. There was also one apartment fight where two men broke down a door to an apartment where 4 girls were living (aparently they ment to break down the door in the apartment below and got confused). I would not walk across the parking lots at night. During the day it is fairly safe though.
