I'm living here in the Towers in its second year now with a mail room and pool. But yeah, the pool is literally 3 feet deep. And yeah, you share a mail box with three other people. The washing machines suck. They're tiny and my clothes always come out fuzzy and spotty. It is nice having your own bathroom, but the beds are uncomfortable. I live on the 16th floor, facing the construction. It sounds like gunshots and car accidents every day starting at 6. It took the office forever to sign me up with roommates. I didn't get their names until two days before move-in day. And they ignored what I asked for in roommates. I smoke, and one of the girls is allergic to smoke. This is just an example of the fact that management doesn't listen to you. And get this: if you want to have friends over, they have to fork over their ID to the security guard until they leave. And one night my friend from Gaithersburg came to visit, with no ID. So I had to sneak him into the building because security told me he wasn't allowed to enter. How condescending is it that I'm not allowed to have whomever I choose into my apartment' That I pay out the butt for' The worst part, however, is my roommates. We started fighting immediately, but they refuse to talk out our problems. So the four of us avoid each other, locked in our rooms. And two of the girls, being very mature, try to pull pranks to get me and the other girl to leave. They purposefully leave the front door open, turn the thermostat down to 40 degrees, and trash the living room to intimidate me and the other roommate. But I can't break my lease, so I have to find someone to take it over and move into a hellhole. Like that's going to happen. So now it looks like i'm going to have to go to court to break my lease, because i'm tired of coming home wondering what new thing will be broken or stolen. Parking is horribly expensive. Things break all the time, like the doors and key cards and parking entrances and internet and A/C. The "study lounge" has 3 computers for over 200 suites. The "game room" has a broken foos ball table, pool tables with not one unbroken cue and missing balls, and a ping pong table minus the ping pong balls.
READ THIS: Bottom line, don't move into the Towers unless you have friends to share the apartment with. Otherwise, you could get stuck with crazy loud sloppy drunk underclassmen who disrespect you, your things, and your home. If things are good in your apartment, I think you'd be able to overlook the annoying things about the building. After all, a lot of shops are close by as well as a movie theatre and metro. vWhRVi5nYYIuEh4W7K3l

yeah, it is best to move in with friends. i have a feeling they will increase rent again, which makes no sense. whats really funny, is that this time of year last year, there was a mega waiting list to get an apartment here. now, they still have the "NOW LEASING" sign still up, meaning that a LOT less people live here. they are struggling to find people to rent out spots here cause word of mouth is so bad. i'll be out of here by december and i CANNOT wait!

They actually dropped my rent price for next year! :-) $749 for an upper-level D apartment. Too bad for them-- I graduated. I think this place is better than the View-- I don't know why people are flocking there. That building smells and the tenants are pretty much all disrespectful brats.

The construction is FINALLY over. I have been here for 2 years now and the first year that construction was horrible but it is done now and things are finally quiet. It would be nice if the stuff in the game room would be replaced more often but then it has to be annoying and expensive to replace items repeatedly because they get broken all of the time. I like the fact that guests have to check in because it means that they know who is in the building.
