I am a deaf student and moved in the Towers from 2007 and stayed through summer of 2008. The time I lived there was just horrible. Staff and the manager was very disrespectful. I saw some things, including ALL of my things, thrown out of the apartment due to false claims of not recieving payments or checks for rent. Fines are ridiculous by what I hear. They don't follow the ADA guidelines for a disabled student or person to live on their property. I requested to have a flashing doorbell and a fire signaler in my room and they didnt replace it after two months of living there, then I was transferred to another room for a stupid reason relating to the roommates who I lived with before, and didn't transfer the signalers in my new room, so I spent 10 months without them. It was a pain in the butt. And to add something else to that, there was a shooting that happened up on the 16th floor. Security didn't boost up and just kept doing what they were doing. Parking fees are just ridiculous, rent is ridiculous for a tiny room that has a broken closet door, damaged doors, and wobbly bed. Internet and cable is lousy as well...doesn't go fast as you would expect for a LAN/T-1 to go. I'd recommend you not to go unless you're a risk-taker. Good luck.

Sounds like you're an employee. That's a very creative review... very detailed, but still conveniently vague at the same time.

I find that unbelieveable. I had my electricity go out at 4:30 am and security called out the maintenance guy. He got there within the hour, was nice to me and told me what caused the problem. I saw him the next morning at 8:00 am when I was on my way to the shuttle. He asked if I had any other problems with the electricity and then told me to stop by the office if I needed anything else. He was very nice and professional and I don't know how polite I would have been if someone woke me up at that hour and then I had to be at work by 8 am. I can't believe you let something stay broken for 2 months? They have that online thing so you can put in a request 24/7. It even emails you back when the work order is finished. I doesn't get much easier than that. As far as security goes, I don't know what you see, but they ask me for my ID all the time. Didn't you read those dozens of emails and notices they sent out about all the security precautions? I thought it was a bit much, but hey, crime is everywhere.

I don't know how they could throw your stuff out without being correct because it is the Sherriff that does it. I saw them here one day doing the evictions. Anywhere you go is going to expect their money. I also had some problems with roommates and they asked if I would be willing to move to another apartment and I was perfectly willing because it was for my benefit, I no longer had to deal with the roommates I was having problems with and I am much happier now. I agreee that the internet service could be a little faster but it works fine. As for the security, I think they do a good job considering that I am living in an apartment and not a dorm. I didn't want to have to report to someone all of the time and be able to live my life which is why I chose to stay here.

This is definitely not an employee. That's what happens when your a terrible roommate and have to get moved ten thousand times for being dishonest and using your disability as a crutch. Getting evicted is very rarely a mistake. Pay your rent and your stuff is safe and secure. This is clearly a case of someone who put themselves in a rotten situation and could not get themselves out of it. Hope you learned your lesson. Im glad there are actually people on here that are reasonable and can see beyond the minor nuisances that people constantly choose to complain about.
