I have been here 2 years and am now staying for my 3rd. I have to say that for the first year I wasn't very happy with everything. You could tell it was a new building dealing with all of their new building issues. BUT in the past year things have changed dramatically. There are now cameras in the hallways which have stopped all of the damage that was being caused by drunken residents. The building looks almost new again when last year it looked like it was 5 years old. They had a couple of resident events this past year and I hope they keep that up. It was especially nice when they served lunch during finals! There is a new staff that I have had much better experiences with and they make fresh cookies everyday. The staff the first year could have used some lessons from these new people. They now respond quickly to messages, converse with residents-asking them how school is going and I even heard one ask someone how their mother was doing (aparently she had been sick), its just much more personal than it used to be. The mail situation finally got fixed after about 6 month of hell but now I know that the mail is going to be in my box at 5pm everyday. I still wish the parking lot outside were closer to the building but there really isn't any place closer to put a lot so I guess that is not going to change. A lot of people complain about the security guards but they are just doing their job and I have never had a problem with them. I really like the fact that maintenance is available 24 hours for emergencies(that has always been the case but now they respond quickly). I also really like that the security guards are in both buildings now. Overall, I happy I stuck it out the first year because it is really a nice place to live now.
