For 6200 Building
This place is absolutely horrible. Geez where to start'!' I lived in a 1 bed 1 bath for $1350/month. I usually always came in after 9p.m. at night, there is absolutely no where at all to park, so when you come home at night you are sometimes forced to park in the fire lanes only to get your car towed the next morning. Cars are always broken into (windows smashed, tires slashed, even one resident we knew had his car stolen out of the parking garage!!!) When you complain to management about the parking they recommend that you purchase a parking spot in the garage for an additional $75/month. But just in case you missed it the first time, cars are broken into even in the garage!!! If your paying that much to park where you live shouldn't you have some security along with it'!' The elevators are out about four times a week, this is a 17 story building here!!! I hope to god no one needs fire/ems while the elevators are not working. If a resident is in cardiac arrest they are probably going to die while the medics are walking up the 17 flights of stairs. The "Fitness center" is an absolute joke, it consists of a broken treadmill, 2 elliptical bikes, one of which does not work, and a little bowflex power center with missing pieces and parts. Your workout will most likely be climbing the flights of stairs to get to your apartment while the elevators are out. You can't control your heat/AC in your unit, they have one main heater and air conditioning unit that supplies air for the whole building, however, if they have the unit in heat mode up through June/July (which has happened both summers I have been there) with it 85-90 degrees outside with 90% humidity it absolutely sucks to be in your apartment. The management are complete a**holes and don't give a ---- about the residents that pay a decent chunk of change to live there. You approach them with a problem and they shrug it off their shoulders and say its not their problem. The worst person is Kurt, that looser used to be one of the mail clerks at the front counter, he ended up applying for one of the management jobs that unfortunately opened, and he unfortunately got it. He act's like he's tough ---- because he got promoted from mail clerk (congratulations you went from $7 per hour to $10 per hour), the only person he is impressing is himself. When we first moved in we had called and asked if there was a washer and dryer in the unit, and they had assured us that there was, come to find out that when we moved in we found out that there was no washer and dryer in the unit but instead a laundry room which you even have to pay to use on top of what you are already paying for rent!!!! This place is absolutely horrible read the other comments and reviews!!! I now live in Germantown and I pay $1525 for a 4 storied, 4 bed, 3 bath townhouse. If you can afford to live at Westchester park save your money and go somewhere cheaper that is of higher quality, because believe me there is a lot better out there for a lot cheaper, I would recommend somewhere in Montgomery County. If you however do not listen to the reviews and feel that this for some reason is the place for you at least talk to some of the tenants during your grand tour, they will tell you. I would have to say that the best investment I ever put into The Towers of Westchester Park was the UHaul truck I rented and used to pack my ---- up in and get out of there.

Glad I moved out when I did back in 2005. I warned everybody on here that the place was starting to fall apart back then. Believe it or not, it actually used to be a nice place to live back when I first lived there in 2001 but the management it seems has gone from bad to worse.

I too completely agree with this reviw. I've been here for two years and am moving out this month. There still are some "future residents" coming to have a tour of this apt, and whenever I run into them in the elevator and see the manager chatting with them with such a "shiny" smile and a fake respectful attitude, I really wish there was a way to tell them that it's a scam.
Whoever reads this review, please, I beg you, find some other apts. I would recommend that you should check Montgomery county - you will find a much better apartment for much less expensive rent than 6200 Westchester.

i totally DON'T agree... when you moved in you already knew that the management was NOT responsible for what happens to your car.. so if you're stupid enough to leave stuff in there that's your bad. not tower's of westchester park. Kurt has never been rude or discourteous to me. and at least one of the elevators has been in service at all times. "you can't control you heat or AC in your unit"? << WTH that's TOTALLY false. i have ac/heat units in EACH room... so you actually made that up.
if the place was so terrible noone would live here b/c there are many other apartment complexes around. so get over it.

TO the previous anonymous poster...yes there are individual temperature controls in each room, HOWEVER, they have to switch the central unit between AC and heat. In other words, you cant get AC like this past spring no matter how hot it is if they have the central unit set to heat. It was hotter than HELL in our apartment this past spring. There was no AC to be had no matter how many damn thermostats were in the apartment.

to the poster of 08/06/2008... Your either an idiot, or a member of management. When we got in an accident we had to get a rental car because our car was in the shop. When we went back to get a parking permit they said they couldn't issue us one because we couldn't show proof that we owned the "rental car." How the f**k are you supposed to own a rental car? So when we asked for a guest pass they told us that they were out. We ended up having to park anyway and guess what? We were towed the next day!!!! When we went to management they said there was nothing they could do about it. What the hell kinda management is that? You tell me! People haven't just been breaking into cars to steal the crap inside of them, people have been breaking into cars to steal them!!! People have been siphoning gas out of tanks, letting the air out and slashing tires! The least this dump could do is install security camera's, and i do mean the very least they could do!! If your satisfied with 1 elevator operating an 18 storied building, with roughly 10 - 15 units on each floor that's cool im sure as hell not satisfied with that, but too many countless times has the fire department had to come get people out of the elevators because the pieces of crap quit operating with people in them, and yes I don't know how long you've been living there but many many times has all 3 of the elevators been out of order. You know its against the law for all three service elevators to be out of order for a complex holding so many residents? Its a damn safety and fire hazard. I'm not even going to get in to Kurt... the looser explains himself... and again about the A/C / heat, obviously you have never lived through a spring/summer at this place. Read the previous post of 08/15 it explains itself. I really truly hope that you are a member of management and for the lengthiness of this post and all the problems pointed out in it, the only true argument you could defend was the A/C and heat saying there is a A/C heat in every unit which is also explained in this post. If your a resident maybe you need to read it again.

Ha, I can only laugh at some of the comments, they cry because they are true. I lived in the Towers during 2001-2003. Prices were relatively decent then, we were students, so we thought that it was a good deal. The "Towers Team" consisted of morons; underqualified and dumb. There was one nice guy, forgot his name though. Is Karen still there? She's ghetto but pretends to be middle class suburban when prospective tenants arrive. As far as security, ha! Sprinhill lake inhabitants have been breaking into Tower's cars for years, even back then. The Towers staff is aware and have been aware of this for years. Honestly, they can afford to pay someone $10/hr to patrol the lot. At least then, they can hire an idiot who won't actually appear like a Towers idiot...simply because there will be no normal resident contact. Elevators, HAAAA. They were broken, literally, more than they worked. In the a.m, the cleaning crew would reserver one of the working two elevators...now that's funny. Once they started raising the prices, we realized that the problems and issues outweighed the economical value. Ghetto, ignorant, pretentious for no reason, management office employees are responsible for 70% of the former tenants misery. Hey, I moved up from leaf blower to manager in two weeks; I will now wreak havoc on those how are allegedly below me! Honestly, if you're a student with minimal requirements, the Towers is do-able. The rooms were big and we didn't have to monitor the electricity usage (I HEARD THAT YOU NOW HAVE TO PAY FOR POWER??). BILLS???). The garage is on safe from getting towed, not safe from burglary/vandalism. Just be aware that the suburban projects are nearby and treat your parked car as would a parked car in southeast...don't leave anything visible and don't turn your radio up...ever...it will eventually get stolen. We were actually paying 300 to get our cars back from the towing company, A and something towing, crooks. You honestly can't get mad at them, the Towers hired them and get kickbacks at the end of the month if the Towers doesn't recall any "illegal" tows. It's obvious that the rampant towing isn't a fix to the parking situation, but yet they still hire the shadiest companies. I'm not sure whether Kurt was there back then, but he sounds like the rest of the workers there.
