Rude staff and frustrating policies

This place is fine to live in if you never have to deal with the staff. They are generally unable to answer your questions and at times are extremely rude. The security guards are nice enough, although I don't usually have to bring in guests so I haven't had to deal with the inconvenience of having to sign them in. The property is regularly damaged by drunk students (walls have been punched through, vomit in the halls, exit signs ripped apart, cigarette butts all over the stairwell). The cleaning personnel seem very nice and do their best dealing with a few inconsiderate and immature students who can't pick up after themselves.

You can pay for a parking spot in lot 11 on campus, which is more affordable than University View's own parking, but then you risk receiving tickets for forgetting to move your car on basketball game days (even though lot 11 is rarely filled by the game traffic and even though there are very few View cars parked there on weekends), having your car vandalized (my side mirror and several others were smashed off one weekend), and being unable to leave or return to the lot on football weekends when the parking lot is overtaken by tailgaiters. If you want to have friends over on a week day or have family members visit, good luck. Their are 1 hour parking spaces available, but that is it, and the places around the building all tow (it has happened to me, but even the towing company was more pleasant to deal with than some of University View's staff).

My frustrations with this building and its policies could go on and on, but I will stop here. Of course, you can't beat the location, so as long as you are willing to put up with disrespectful treatment and a ridiculous cost of living, it is an ok choice.

I am a graduate student. I've lived in my apartment for 2 years now. I don't throw wild parties, I don't vandalize things, I pay my rent on time. I am respectful to the staff I interact with. It is a shame that they have become so jaded by dealing with the irresponsible students of this building that they cannot return this respect.
