Yo!

THE WORST PLACE IVE EVER LIVED

The staff, apartment, parking, maintenance, security is all HORRIBLE here. The staff is rude and unhelpful. I had an apartment reserved for the 07-08 school year and i did it early because housing is getting pretty bad. I reserved it around March of 2007. But when i called around July/August to make sure everything was settled they told me I didn't have a place and I wasn't in the system. Not only did they misplaced me in a boy's apartment building, but they didn't notify me of the documents that they needed. But I got housing because I was put first on the wait list. It was a stressful situation. The apartment itself is no better than a dorm room. The carpet and floors in the bathrooms are dirty, bathrooms are mediocre and walls are thin. What are we paying for then' Parking is IMPOSSIBLE in front of the view. It's a hassle. You have to get a parking permit from the university view otherwise you'll get towed. Maintenance is a MESS there at the View. They'll come in at any given time to your own private apartment and check whatever they wish (i.e. firealarms, windows, any recent damages). They won't notify you, or make sure you're there. Quite frankly they don't care. So anything could be stolen at any given moment of the day. Again, what the heck are we paying for' Security' WHAT SECURITY'! They take any stranger's ID. So if you decided to have a small get together with a couple of your friends all of them would have to give up their ID's. It's ridiculous. Fire alarms go off every other week. Fire evacuations happen... every other week. Friends are hardly allowed unless you want to go through the hassle of swapping ID's, etc, etc. I've lived here for one semester, and I'm ready to leave. If I pay over $800 I expect $800 worth of service from the staff, but that's clearly never going to happen. I'm at AWE at the fact that any of the staff members were hired because their service could be filled in by the shoes of a 10yr old.
