Many expect a better level of service at the View, especially considering what you pay for it: at the time, a year ago, I paid $700 for my room, my 3 other roommates paid the same (yes, that's $2800 for a 4 bedroom 2 bathroom shoebox). Utilities are included, but the management has no problem tacking on random extra fees supposedly related to electricity charges (where you get charged more or less depending on, umm, well nobody really knows). But fine, you do have your own bedroom, your own internet and TV hook-up, and the (furnished) apartments are in good condition.

On the other hand, so are your neighbour's apartments. You know this because you'll hear them laugh, cry, and even sneeze through the wafer-thin walls. Forget about going to bed early on a Thursday or Friday evening: the bass from music played on the other side of the building will penetrate into your room. Call up security to ask them to turn down the music, and a few hours later they'll consider your request. Naturally, the management wants to be part of all the fun, and so they'll constantly pester you with memo's on last minute inspections and new rules and fees they decided to implement at the drop of a hat. That is, when they tell you. My room was randomly inspected, for which I still think I should sue them. Go down and complain, and unless you sit in front of the manager's office so he knows you're there, he won't speak to you. I hated the staff there.

At the end of the day one likes to get away from it all and go take a swim in the pool or work out at the gym. Oh, but wait, the pool is only 3 feet deep, and the gym only has 5 treadmills (that, unless you come in at 6am, are always occupied). Never mind, the CRC is only a short walk away... You'll often find yourself spending more time away from this place than in it.

I don't know what happened, things were great in the first year and then everything went down the drain. These people take advantage of students.
