Yes, the rent is more than a mortgage, but I have a spacious 3 bedroom 2 bath apartment. Downside is it's a hike to the 3rd and 4th floors. And I have problems with the parking - there are never any spots near the front of my building. There's a tiny little park that can be accessed from the complex. Pool always has a lifeguard, gym is open 24 hrs. Staff is friendly. Grounds are kept clean. They occassionally have parties for the residence (happy hour type things). Many staff actually live in the complex. Overall, I highly recommend this place if you can afford the rent.
