Great Location, Nice Features

I have been very satisfied living here. The location is great because I travel a lot for my job and being right next to 495/95 shortens my travel time. My apartment is very nice, there was new carpet when I moved in, nice paint (not just plain white), and the fixtures for the most part are very nice. I love the size of the bathroom and closets.
I have a dog and it is very convenient that there is a park right behind the complex that you can access through a gate. That is one of my favorite features, it makes having a dog in an apartment much easier. Many residents have dogs so if you are not a fan of them I wouldn't suggest living here though.
The amenities are nice, the gym is usable although the equipment could use a little updating, not many residents use it. The pool is beautiful when its open (unfortunately only memorial day - labor day) but quiet and relaxing.
Most of the residents are young working professionals with a few families and UMD grad students as well.
I feel safe living here it is gated and I have not had any situations where I feel unsafe. I am comfortable walking my dog at night within the complex, something that I would not be comfortable doing outside.
I think there is enough parking, I have never been unable to find a space. Sometimes at night I have to walk a little farther but never more than 100 yards to my apartment. Usually I can find a space right out front. I find it convenient that they are garden style apartments and you go directly to your front door rather than through a main entrance. There is also the option of renting an apartment with a garage actually attached to your unit through a private staircase, or a separate garage, or covered car port. These are features that I really have not seen at any other apartments.
Overall, there are a few things I would change if I could including, newer energy efficient appliances would be nice, and they seem to over water the landscaping with sprinklers and combined with poor drainage there are some very muddy spots (which means 4 muddy paws and 2 muddy feet in my apartment). But these are pretty minor considering that I really don't think that a PERFECT apartment exists for anyone. This one has met or exceeded my expectations in all categories, and I find my rent is extremely reasonable compared to those at comparable apartments in the area.
