Just an observation....

This place when you call seems like quite a bargain! I mean less than $900 a month in Columbia and you get a washer and dryer.
BUT.....
Once you check this place out, you immediately realize that it leaves a lot to be desired, and just remember you get what you pay for. First the community is surrounded by a large number of other apartment's that are Section 8. You see that just driving up. There seemed to be a lot of adults, just "hanging out" at 3:30 in the afternoon as well. That is the first thing that grabbed my attention...and the glares I got back driving up to the rental office.
The apartments while they are surrounded by woods are very, very old. Along with the appliances (look like they're from the early 80's). While I was in the rental office getting the typical "How wonderful it is to live here" speech, one of the disgruntled maintenance people came in and rudely interrupted and said that they were quitting because everything was so old and beyond repair. Not really what you want perspective renters to hear...
When I came out, the group of thugs that were hanging out on the corner were now by my car! The one says "So are you moving here"' Then they started laughing! Yeah, no thanks. The rental office will claim that everyone there is friendly....if that's friendly I'm sure as hell NOT sticking around to find out what "unfriendly" would be!!
