Moved here because it was relatively cheap for Columbia...I?ll never go that route again. The maintenence guys were actually pretty responsive, which was good because this place is falling apart. Mangey carpet, sketchy appliances, and roaches...good Lord, the ROACHES! This was mainly do to my dirtbag neighbors who left trash in the stairwells...lord knows what was going on in some of these places.


They also seemed fond of renting to mental patients/recovering addicts who would often get evicted after a month or two for smashing stuff in the parking lot or threatening the other tenents with violence(100% true).


Crime got pretty bad in the area during my last year here. Some shootings,robberies of the local stores (the local Metro grocery was actually closed because of the number of holdups). My motorcycle was vandalized twice.


As for the management, I?ll just say get everything xeroxed and signed...and witnessed if possible. I had to pay another months rent penalty when I moved out because they "never got" the notice I gave them. They sure seemed to get and cash all those rent checks OK, though. After many calls to the management company I just decided to eat it...the court cost would have been more and I had already moved to Virginia.


Stay away from this place, unless you are a recently paroled rapist or drug addict...you?ll get a great break on the rent.(Some of the eviction notices I saw tacked to the doors were for ?failure to pay monthly rent of $100? !!!)
