We've only lived here a few months now, and we've had: a window broken, bottles and other glass things thrown at our building, patio furniture stolen, upstairs neighbors fighting violently at all hours, and now mice (which I can at least attribute to it just being a ground-floor unit in a woody area). Trash is left all over the grounds and around the dumpsters (hello, people, trash goes IN the dumpster, not on/near/around it).

None of these are the management's fault, who have been very helpful so far. The grounds are pretty nice, too. It's nice to walk around, and kids can always play during the day. It's just a few the tenants, and more importantly the surrounding apartments that drag this place down.

Autumn Crest is isolated at the end of the road by the newly renamed (to escape a horrible reputation) "The Verona at Oakland Mills" and the consistently poorly rated Grand Pointe apartments. The sidewalks and parking lots of these areas are home to armed robberies, stabbings, and even a fatal shooting recently. So even though the supermarket is just a short walk away, you simply can't feel safe walking there at any time but mid-day.

If you don't mind being isolated and having to drive short distances and can get a top floor apartment, I would actually recommend living here. Most of the neighbors are nice enough even if they're irresponsible. The price is just too much to pay for the stuff we have to deal with.

i don't know if you'll ever read this, but are you in building 5656? if you are, we're the 3rd floor neighbors, and we hear the same fights you're hearing. I've been very tempted to call the police several times, I'm just fearful of retaliation...my boyfriend and i are looking for a house to buy, or at least another place to rent...
