Ok apartment, horrible prices, not worth it

I lived in a renovated 2br/2bath apartment. it was a nice size and everything was pretty new when I moved in, however as the year went on, I started to realize how cheap everything was. The appliances had to be only a few years old (like 2 or 3) yet our dryer broke within the first 6 months and it took 1 month for a maintenance person to get out to fix it (they had to order the part). Then the linoleum flooring started to come up (its those self-stick tiles, they came up really easily), all it took was us walking and mopping them for them to come up. I ended up having to tell the maintenance people, but they wouldn't fix it for free, they told us that we had to pay for it. Well, being that everything was cheap, I figured it would only be a couple hundred to fix. I just got a bill yesterday (in which it was 2nd notice, and I never got the first notice, and they only gave me two days from the day I received it to pay it off otherwise they were going to report me) and it was almost $1600 plus the security deposit. I had a dog, so the carpets were stained, but they told me that they were able to steam clean them, so it should have not cost more then $200. I called their creditors and explained how I didn't get the 1st notice, but he was completely rude and blamed the whole situation on me, basically saying that it was my fault because they didn't get my forwarding address right ( I am 100% positive that I wrote down the right address)! Basically, they rip your off! Don't be fooled by their appearance...everything is cheap and they stick you with any cost that they can!
