Save your money, don't move here. If you like peace and quiet you won't get it with the very thin walls here. The trash is always overflowing and stinks. The hallways don't get properly cleaned. The staff is very rude and maintenance is practically non-existence. You don't get what you pay for here. It's also ridiculous that you have to pay an expensive amenity fee before you move in, which is unfair. I've lived here for a year and have never used the exercise room or pool. All your money is paying for is living in Columbia, not worth it. Run, do not walk from this apartment community.

Good call. Dorsey Search seems to be a nice area.

I am currently looking into that. The area where Avalon is located, is not bad, just the management and the structure of the buildings.

I lived there for a year and a half and although I liked the community, the apartments were overpriced. The office staff is also a problem. They told lies about me and charged me for things that they should not have and they knew it. I find them incredibly dishonest and I know they planned this because when I was speaking to the accountant she was upset becuase no one told her and I could them whisperiing to her not to say that. I am really disappointed with Avalon Bay, I would expect much more from them. I have read a lot of reviews that mentioned how horrible the office staff is and believe me that is not an inaccuracy! Please do not move here because they do not treat everyone fair.
