I will start with the fact that I don't live here, and from what happened today I will not EVER live here.
I've read the reviews on this apartment complex and still decided I would give it a chance. Management is KEY when you live in apartments. They should care about your concerns, they should address your concerns timely, and they should at the very least SHOW that they give a crap.
We scheduled an appointment on Thursday to see a 3 bedroom apartment on Saturday between 1-2. We have a 1 year old baby and this was the best time to see. Unfortunately we had issues with her the night before (as anyone with a small child would understand) and called to reschedule our appointment for 1:30. We were told 'no problem', you can come anytime between 1-2.
Upon arriving at 1:40, we were then asked if we could come back at 3 or 4pm... Well if anyone here has a baby, you would understand that packing up your young child and driving all the way to an appointment at 1pm(or whatever time you planned) would understand that it would then probably not be convienent to then just dilly dally until 4pm to see the apartment which would then last until 5pm.
We told them No, our baby will need to take a nap and we had the appt scheduled for this time. They told us NO ONE would be able to help us. We stated that we were upset that we called to reschedule at the time we showed, and we were told it would be ok. The man at the office (3 other employees as well sitting at desks), would not take the time out to show us the apartments. He continued to tell us that the (866) number we called to schedule the appointment with, does not know their appointment schedule and should have not told us that..... YET THIS IS THE ONLY NUMBER WE SEE WHEN LOOKING UP THE AVALON COMMUNITY WEBSITE.
So he let us walk out of the leasing office, LOSING A GOOD FAMILY WILLING TO RENT, and all the while we watched one young lady (who had been at a desk) leave for her 'lunch break'.
I guess to each their own, but after reading previous reviews this just left a bad taste in our mouth and a sign of things to come in the future with this place. Good luck to all who rent! Have Fun :-)

Does not surprise me one bit. I have seen at one time, one of the employees checking out the tan on a lady sunbathing at the lobby pool. And to add spice to scenery, the lady lied upside down with her top unhooked or whatever exposing her whole bare back to all the strangers at the lobby including one salivating Avalon employee. Don't know who to blame more but, the guy simply refused to pay heed to my complaint and kept his undivided attention to the sexy back. And here you are talking about inconvenience of taking you around the complex.
