All around HORRIBLE living experience

My Avalon experience has been nothing but horrible ever since the day I moved here in June of 2007. To start, the walls are thinner than paper. You can hear EVERYTHING your neighbors are doing. It's almost impossible to sleep without a TV or fan on to drown out the noise of neighbors, people outside in the parking lot or cars driving down the road. Aside from the noise issue, the crime in this neighborhood is unbelieveable. Since I have lived here there have been shootings, robberys, ARMED robberys and fights. People's cars get broken into weekly in the parking lots and buildings are often vandalized. The staff appears to be extremely nice and helpful at first but once you sign your lease that all changes. They are the most unhelpful, rude, and careless staff. The property manager Lee is a joke and I'm not sure why he even has his job. He's always rude on the phone and never returns phone calls to fix problems. If something breaks you might as well fix it yourself because it will be months before someone comes to fix it. My balcony door doesn't lock and I've been asking them to fix this issue since the day I moved in. It STILL does not lock and no one has come to fix it. A few months ago someone tried to kick open my front door and when I told Avalon about the incident they advised me NOT to call the police. Why would they advise me NOT to call the police'' I could go on forever but I wont. Please do not live here, you will be extremely dissapointed.
