I've read through the past few reviews and was very surprised about the negativity people expressed about Columbia Commons. I lived there from July '07 - Mar '08 [moved out because I bought a house] and had no problems with anything- management, noise, neighbors. There are no 'hoodlems,' just a very friend group of neighborhood kids [they knew my dog by name and helped me to train her to be quiet around strangers]. I had to have two things in my apartment fixed, and they were both fixed promptly and correctly.
As a female living alone, I felt very safe at all hours of the day. My only problem was with the pet owners of the neighborhood who refused to pick up after their dogs, but apparently that's common of most apartment complexes. Watch where you step!
The staff was very understanding of me breaking my lease and I received my full deposit back within three weeks of leaving.
Overall I recommend Columbia Commons.
