I moved to Bentena Apartments in 1996,the rent was affordable at $700.00 per month, which included water and your heating for two bedrms.A nice place to live, some of the amenities were rewarding such as the laundry room washer and dryer was free, the living area was larger than many of the surrounding apartments in the area, such as bedrms, kitchen,dining rm and living room; and for some who were fortunate to get an apt with a washer and dryer in it.We were able to have packages go to the rental office, the staff was nice, when you called for any reason someone was there to assist you, and not always out showing what they say is now the "luxurious apartments". someone was there to answer the phone everyday. Problems were corrected, completed,and correctly done.I have sinse seen many different staff members come and go,and it's getting harder to get help from them. The water bill is outrageous here, for example (two bedrm one person $28.00 per month).I know home owners that pay that amount for a three month bill. Care of the building is null to none. and the rent is constantly raising and nothing has changed for the better. With each new management things are changing, so they say; ( I have seen nothing as of yet). I feel time is not put into the quality of people that are choosen to move in but, on the depth of their pocket and how much money can come from it.The professionalism of the staff and maintenance just isn't there, as it sholud be. More and more tenants are moving out, because living here is no longer rewarding.I would not recommend this apartment complex to anyone.I have lived in a (2)bedrm,and a (1) bedrm. I plan to move as soon as I can. I am very disappointed here now. After saying that I must say it could be worse. I REWARD THE COMING OF RENT CONTROL.... PS. I do not have roach or rodent problems. I do know of tenants that do have both problems.
