So you want to hear my opinion' Okay here I go. The place is very attractive...clean, well lit, and a awesome location! But, is it worth 1670 for a 2 bedroom apartment' I have been here for almost 3 years and ofcourse I stayed here because, I loved it until recent change in staff in the leasing office. Couple of weeks ago I recieved a notice from the leasing office that if I continued wanting to stay here, that I would have to dish out extra $200 on the rent plus extra for parking fees. Is this how they treat their tenant after being loyal for 3 years' Thats $1800! I can buy a house across the street for that! Now, the reason why everything has gone up so much because there is a mall and more restaurants across the street. If they can squeeze more money out of you for anything, than thats what they'll do.

This really does trouble me. Have they increased your rent by $200 a month or $200 a year? You must have come in with a "special". However they assured me that in that instance, rent would not increase by more than 5% from one lease to the other. I guess that was a lie too....this troubles me. How is it that they are going to charge you for parking when at presnet the facility is on open parking. No one is paying for parking. That's just absurd!! Are you sure the info you have is correct? This is rather disturbing. I'm feeling very less than confident about what trials I will have to endure come time to in my lease. I figured the staff was rather new because no one was confortable giving any info. I heard more " I don't knows" than I care to hear. To be honest, my suggestion for how to improve this apartment complex, is to create a suggestion box or some kind of blog where residents can converse. About your issue, you may want to go above their heads and conatct a higher up from ING. Most of the leasing agents here are idiots and you could have recieved someone else's letter. I would go above their heads to make sure that the info conveyed is exactly how it truly is. |

I concur, contact the regional office if you have a problem with your rent. I requested an additional 3 months due to a delay on my new home, & the leasing office wanted an extra $500/month or so, claiming that the extension wasn't in their best interest. After several rounds of rebuttal, the regional office helped me negotiate the extra 3 months at the listed market rate for the apartment, which is $170/month over our discounted rate. It's a rip-off, but I saved myself $1K.
