I have lived at this complex since October 2007 and am moving out, thank god!! My husband and I thought this was a wonderful place when we went for the walk through. The waterfall outside was nice and the fact that the parking garage was gated made me feel secure. Living across from the mall, library and lake was nice as well. However, after moving in everything changed. Living next to the mall isn't so great as people may think. There are always kids and thugs cutting through the complex to get to the mall. There have been numerous break ins and property destroyed. The parking garage is NOT secure because since I've been here, the gate has never worked properly. You can get at least 5 cars through once someone opens the gate, so don't think that only residents can get in. Also, most of the time the gate is open 24hrs. a day....a huge waste of money. The apartment itself is okay, however, there is a HUGE ant problem. The noise from neighbors above is horrible and complaining to the rental office doesn't do any good. If I were a person considering this complex, I would come by at night time and walk the grounds of the complex, your mind will change. Again, don't let the waterfall and so called "gated" community fool you.

I heard that the gates remain open in the winter time because of the snow. I wasn't totally sure what that meant. Its unfortunate that the developers didn't realize that it snows in Maryland, otherwise they could have installed gates that are compatible with snow.
