I've been at the apartment for some time (more than a couple years) and agree with several of the other reviewers, that the golden days are gone. It is obvious that the apartment manager does not like her job and would rather be elsewhere (and is fairly often). Something is seriously broken in the management chain. For example, a new manager joined and was being trained over the summer -- she lasted about two weeks and quit. She said the job wasn't a good fit for her but I suspect she was left out to fend off the growing number of dissatisfied tenants all by herself.
Another reviewer indicated that service and response time was bad. I agree -- it takes days for important documents, such as rent agreements, to get returned to you, often with mistakes. It has happened often enough that I suspect that there is a deliberate effort to "put the screws" to the requestor -- again because of the manager's dislike for her job.
There is a lot of activity going on at the complex over the last couple months. For example, the roofs are being re-shingled and the trees are getting trimmed. No notices have been sent out to the tenants about what will be done and certainly no schedule has been posted. The contractors just come and go as they please, pounding away on the roof sometimes as early as 7am. The tree trimming folks are just as ruthless. They have been cutting off branches right next to parked cars early in the morning. None of the parking areas have been cordoned off and I suspect there have been "incidents". For example, I saw one of my neighbors taking pictures of his car -- I suspect it was scratched or damaged. Beware!!!
All-in-all, it's too bad the management is so bad -- it used to be a nice place to live.
