My husband and I have lived here for just shy of three years. We have had ongoing problems and we are just fed up. Things break, and you have to put in a request in writing at least twice, and you still have to go tell Doris, who just looks at you like you have three heads. It is overpriced, and they will SCREW you. We are breaking our lease 3 months prior to our third year here because we bought a house and they are charging $2500, plus now they are saying everyone who moves out has to pay $150 to have the apartment steam-cleaned, regardless of whether it needs it or not. Our building has had crime problems (people hanging out on the porches of the lower-levels, casing the place), and the management doesn't care. We told them about automobile destruction, and they just looked at us. The old blonde hag who just started working there is extremely rude, for no reason. They even evicted one of our (awesome!) neighbors while he was DEPLOYED overseas. And that wasn't the first case of the military folk getting screwed...just in our building alone! Read your lease carefully, because they will COMPLETELY go against it. If you want to rent here, get a good lawyer because you will eventually need it. Each year our lease re-newed we had to keep going and asking for the new lease, and every time it had numerous STUPID errors on it, like our address being wrong, or even the year on the contract. DON'T DO IT.

If it was that terrible then why even stay three years? Furthermore,ANY apartment will charge you (or possibly even sue you) if you break your lease. That's what the lease is for! Maryland laws are designed to protect the landlord, not the tenant. It is like that EVERYWHERE in Maryland. If you don't like it,move to a different state,or next time actually read your lease before signing it.
