Maintenance is a joke!

Years at this apartment: 2002 - 2003
I scheduled rehab 2 months in advance so it would be complete when I got back from vacation. When I got back, I found 15 items that were incomplete or shoddy. further, maintenace doesn't feel a busted thermostat qualifies as a maintenance emergency. Granted, the on-call maintenance person might not be paid to put up with the brunt of my anger, but I don't pay nearly $1300 in rent to have an unlivabe apartment!!! For 11 months, they've told me they're staff is short-handed and that is why they are always overdue on completing maintenance tasks.
