I chose this apartment because on the surface, it looked as if I would be getting a lot for my money. The rent was considerably lower than I had been paying in another part of the city. However, I discovered that lower rent mean lower customer service, poor maintenance, and inconsiderate residents. On average I have to report a maintenance problem three times before it is actually fixed. I can hear every step of the person who lives above me, and there is often intolerable garbage on the ground near the dumpsters (e.g. furniture, appliances, open trash, etc.) I'm thankful that I will only be living here for a year.
